About Joaquin Ramirez

Before becoming a lawyer, Joaquin Ramirez served as a Senior Manager for the Office of Sponsored Programs and Risk Manager for the San Jose State University Research Foundation (SJSURF). During his tenure, he successfully reviewed, negotiated, and approved hundreds of contracts, grants, and subcontracts worth tens of millions of dollars. He also managed intellectual property agreements, licensing deals, and risk management for the organization, gaining valuable experience in handling complex legal and financial issues with precision and strategic advocacy.

As a risk manager, Joaquin was responsible for managing liability claims, insurance programs, accident investigations, and negotiations. His ability to assess risk, negotiate settlements, and advocate on behalf of those he represented sharpened the skills he now applies in his legal practice. Through this experience, he learned how to competently navigate complex legal matters while zealously advocating for his clients.

Joaquin founded Ramirez Law with a vision of making quality legal representation accessible to those who need it most. After graduating from Lincoln Law School of San Jose and passing the California Bar in 2022, Joaquin began his career dedicated to serving the Bay Area community.

Joaquin’s legal approach is rooted in his commitment to client service, integrity, and strategic problem-solving. He works closely with clients to address legal challenges effectively, whether they involve tenant rights, bankruptcy, employment law issues, family law, personal injury, debt collection defense, or general civil litigation. By tailoring solutions to each client’s specific needs, Joaquin ensures that every client feels heard, respected, and empowered throughout their case. He takes pride in his integrity, problem-solving skills, and commitment to treating every client with the respect they deserve.
